Schleiden-Vogelsang

70 percent of our native butterflies are moths. Their front wings are often camouflaged, but their hind wings can be brightly colored. After a theoretical introduction, moths that have been found dead at the nature conservation education center over the past year are identified. Most moths actually fly at night, but there are also diurnal moths, such as the pigeon moth, which belongs to the hawkmoth family. A light trap is used to attract moths in the dark, identify them and release them again.
