From January 26 to April 4, 2025, church musicians of both denominations will be taking part in 17 venues in the diocese of Aachen, supplemented by two children's concerts about the famous Thomaskantor. The occasion is the 275th anniversary of Johann Sebastian Bach's death on July 28.

In the Eifel region, Andreas Warler, church musician of the pastoral area, is part of this extraordinary project. He will be playing the 11th concert in the series in the parish church of St. Nikolaus, Gemünd. Works such as four of the "Leipzig Chorales", the chorale partita "O Gott, du frommer Gott", the Praeludium and Fugue in E minor, BWV 548, as well as the Fantasia in C major, BWV 573, completed by Prof. Meyer-Fiebig, will be performed on the large Weimbs organ.
Bach's works are among the highlights of organ music due to their technical brilliance and deep expressiveness and continue to inspire today.
